Who we are
FirstTry operates the firsttry.ie website and provides driver theory test preparation tools for learners in Ireland. For privacy questions, contact us at support@firsttry.ie.

Account information: email address and authentication data when you sign up or sign in.
Usage data: practice progress, mock exam attempts, scores, and basic technical logs needed to run the service.
Payment data: handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. We may store subscription status, plan, and billing references linked to your account.
Why we use your data
We process your data to provide the service you request, manage your account, deliver practice and mock exam features, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
Our legal bases under GDPR include contract (providing the service), legitimate interests (security and product improvement), and consent where required.
Sharing and processors
We use trusted providers to run FirstTry, including Supabase (authentication and database hosting) and Stripe (payments and subscription billing).
We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the service.
Retention
We keep account and subscription records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards where needed for legal, tax, or dispute purposes.
You may request deletion of your account subject to obligations we must keep for compliance and billing records.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data, and to data portability.

Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies and local storage for sign-in sessions, security, and practice progress. We do not use advertising trackers on the core study experience.
